The geo-IT world is characterized by dynamism and fast development. GEOSYSTEMS has taken an entrepreneurial step to be optimally positioned for the challenge of the future and is now part of the space technology group OHB SE. Together with OHB, new promising opportunities are opening up for GEOSYSTEMS to market end-to-end solutions from sensors to business-relevant information in a wide range of industries and to benefit from synergy effects with OHB business units.
GEOSYSTEMS is based at OHB Digital where it will support the Downstream Services business unit. With 30 years of experience in the geo-IT market as well as with outstanding products and platforms, GEOSYSTEMS will provide an important impetus and implement successful projects.
GEOSYSTEMS will stay as an independent company, and will continue to be managed by the long-standing Managing Director Ms. Irmgard Runkel. The Diamond Partnership with Hexagon will of course remain.
"Together with OHB, great opportunities are opening up for us to deepen the sustainable solutions in our portfolio and expand into new market segments," says Irmgard Runkel. "With innovative process chains from sensors to enterprise-relevant information, we fit very well with the OHB Group's ambitious goals in the downstreaming business."
Lutz Bertling, member of the Management Board of OHB SE, added: "I am convinced that we have found a perfect partner in GEOSYSTEMS. We see great potential in GEOSYSTEMS' products and services as well as its customer relationships and are particularly pleased that Ms. Runkel will continue to manage GEOSYSTEMS under new ownership."
