The technical team at GEOSYSTEMS counts eight members: software developers, support staff, project engineers and technical sales colleagues. All of them gathered in an inspiring seminar environment to learn both professionally and personally.
A seminar house on the edge of the Alps was the setting for a one and a half day workshop. All participants had prepared a presentation and an exercise in their specific field of work. Especially the hands-on sessions triggered many "wow" effects.
Thomas Weser, Head of Development, and Irmgard Runkel, CEO - they both just returned from the HxGN LIVE in Las Vegas - provided the colleagues with the latest road maps for all products and explained the future technological direction of the Hexagon Geospatial portfolio.
Fritz Spitzer, CTO, provided an overview of customer projects about spatial management solutions and change detection applications. He also showed the brand new M.App Mobile by Hexagon Geospatial. Come to the GEOSYSTEMS at AGIT next week to learn more about this.
Ralf Schneider, who works in the technical sales department, reported on a recent photogrammetric study.
Machine Learning was the subject of Eva Walter, Technical Sales. She gave a brief introduction to the various machine learning algorithms and then demonstrated which deep learning operators are already available in ERDAS IMAGINE 2018.
Dr. Martin Sauerbier and Ruth Leska shared their knowledge about M.App Enterprise, and in a hands-on session everybody was working on a Smart M.App.
Dr. Tatjana Koukal, forester and project engineer, introduced her colleagues to details of the ATCOR Workflow for IMAGINE and, last but not least, Moritz Seidel, the latest addition to the GEOSYSTEMS team and radar specialist, gave deeper insights into SAR interferometry.
The entire technical team came back highly motivated and is eager to share the gained insights with customers.
