As part of the expansion of the Digital Aerial Image Atlas of Baden-Württemberg, which is accessible via a geoportal, additional historical three-dimensional geospatial data were to be provided.
Elevation information forms an essential basis for analyzing height and volume changes, time-series studies, difference models, and 3D visualizations, and opens up new application possibilities in the fields of spatial planning, environmental and water management, as well as research.
On behalf of the State Office for Geoinformation and Land Development Baden-Württemberg (LGL), GEOSYSTEMS created an image-based digital elevation model for half of the area of Baden-Württemberg from 10,000 aerial images taken during a road data survey flight in 1968.
“The bDOM delivered by GEOSYSTEMS GmbH is of outstanding quality. The professionalism and care demonstrated by the GEOSYSTEMS team in processing the historical aerial imagery fully convinced us.”
Felix Kühner, State Office for Geoinformation and Land Development Baden-Württemberg
